A new way
to protect Hawaii’s palms

CRB’s will burrow into a palm’s meristem (the new fronds bundled into a spear at the top of the palm) to feed on the rich sugar inside. This can severely damage the palm and lead to its death. By drenching a palm’s meristem with a preventative product, any CRB who attempts to feed on it will be controlled. This protection can last months depending on the chosen control products, of which there are many options, including those for food and organic productions.

Our drone system can fly over any terrain, quickly traveling from palm to palm, and drenching the meristem with common recommend dosages in under thirty seconds. We can protect 8 - 10 palms per single flight, and over one hundred palms per day. Costs vary per site characteristics, and can be as low as twenty dollars per tree.
